ACE Alumni Achievement Award

Every year, the Alumni Achievement Award is presented during that year’s commencement ceremony. The nomination window for the award typically opens during the first month of the year and runs for several months. ACE typically announces the opening of the nomination window via email communications, social media, the alumni newsletter and the Commencement page.

All ACE alumni are eligible to receive the Alumni Achievement Award. An ACE student must be in graduate status at the time of the nomination deadline to be considered for the award.

Demonstrating exceptional leadership is open to any context – it can be within your school, district, community, state or country. Outstanding service can be demonstrated in any number of ways, such as sharing opportunities for professional growth through the college, reflecting the college’s values in your community or exhibiting an eagerness to give back.

An award committee comprised of academic leaders from ACE reviews the nominations and selects the honoree.

The honoree will receive:

• An Alumni Achievement Award plaque
• The opportunity to present a speech during that year’s commencement ceremony or ceremonies
• Publicity via a press release, an announcement on ACE social media and getting added to ACE’s list of previous Alumni Appreciation Award recipients

The recipient must provide a professional biography and headshot for use in ACE marketing materials, including but not limited to, a press release announcing the award winner, the ACE website and ACE social media channels. The winner must give a speech during the next ACE Commencement ceremony. The speech content is customarily an adaptation of the nomination submission and should be submitted prior to the ceremony for review and approval.
