Social Responsibility in Education

Our Commitment to Good

It’s easy to say you believe in making a difference. At ACE, we mean it. As a socially conscious institution, we believe it’s our job to make an impact in the world that goes well beyond our bottom line.

That’s why we became a Certified B Corporation: to better serve our students, alumni, employees and communities. ACE is certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.

We awarded more than $2.5M in scholarships and grants in 2022 on top of our industry-low tuition to help students advance their careers and achieve their dreams.

How We’re Making an Impact

Nonprofit Partners

Our commitment to social responsibility is also evident in our partnerships with nonprofit organizations across the country that provide services or materials to service-minded professionals in local communities. We partner with organizations that share our mission and vision, including the American Heart Association, Teachers’ Treasures, Kids in Need Foundation, A Gift for Teaching and more.

Best Places to Work

ACE was named as a Best Place to Work in Indiana for six years running, and in 2022, we were named a Top Workplace in the USA. That’s because we’re committed to creating a culture that caters to the incredible people we work with. We also offer generous employee benefits like remote work, affordable insurance, a 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, paid time off and parental leave, paid volunteer hours, mentoring and leadership development programs, and much more.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

According to the Best Places to Work survey, 98 percent of employee respondents on the Best Places to Work survey indicated that ACE enables a culture of diversity, and 97 percent of new hires reported feeling heard and validated at work. We’re committed to ensuring that ACE is a safe, supportive and equitable environment for all employees.

ACE in Action

Our annual Impact Report details how American College of Education embodies the mission to serve, lead and achieve every day. We invite you to read the report to find out what it means for ACE to be a B Corp, what we are doing to serve our individual communities and the greater global community, and how we are creating leaders by being leaders.

Every year, full-time employees are granted 16 civic hours to use for volunteering during the workday. Many go far beyond those 16 hours in their free time, spending countless hours serving their communities in roles ranging from soup kitchen volunteer to nonprofit board member to local school classroom helper.
