The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses

About The DAISY Foundation

American College of Education is proud to partner with the DAISY Foundation to recognize exemplary students, instructors and preceptors who show dedication to improving patient care and elevating the nursing profession.

As a DAISY Award Partner, ACE annually presents one student, one faculty member and one preceptor with a DAISY Award to honor their extraordinary commitment to nursing and nursing education. Award winners are selected by committee from the pool of nominations received for each award. Nominations can be submitted by any ACE student, alumni or faculty member and are accepted from May to April annually.

Each DAISY Award Honoree will be recognized throughout Nurses Month (May), at ACE Commencement and receive a beautiful certificate, a DAISY Award pin and a hand-carved stone sculpture entitled A Healer’s Touch.

Student

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students recognizes exemplary nursing students for their above-and-beyond care and compassion shown to patients and their families, celebrating what it truly means to be a nurse. It is designed to remind students, even on the hardest days in nursing school, why they wanted to pursue a career in nursing. We honor the nurse-patient connection that makes all the difference in the healthcare experience.

Faculty

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty recognizes faculty members who are a committed and inspirational influence on their nursing students.

Perceptor

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Preceptor recognizes preceptors who are a committed and inspirational influence on their nursing students.
