Your Path to Licensure in Elementary Education
Our fully online MAT in elementary education is designed for aspiring teachers seeking licensure who hold bachelor’s degrees in non-education fields. This program provides you with foundational knowledge of child development from K-6 grade. You’ll learn how to deliver effective differentiated instruction, create purposeful assessments to focus and drive your teaching, and build a well-organized, positive learning environment that fosters student achievement. Coursework will also equip you to leverage technology and innovative applications of gamification and artificial intelligence in your classroom.
This program is approved as an alternative pathway to lead to an initial elementary generalist teacher license in Indiana. Graduates of ACE’s corresponding Transition to Teaching program can apply the credits from their certificate to this program to continue towards their master’s.
We offer a special Educator Grant for new students who enroll in this program. Visit the Grants and Scholarships page to learn how you can reduce your tuition.
