American College of Education (ACE) is seeking reaffirmation of its accreditation for its education licensure programs and is hosting an accreditation visit by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) on Dec. 2-4, 2026.
The licensure programs offered by the College include:
- M.A. in Elementary Teaching
- M.A. in Secondary Teaching
- M.Ed. in Educational Leadership
- Certificate in Principal Preparation
- Certificate in Teaching English Learners
- Certificate in Transition to Teaching in Elementary Education
- Certificate in Transition to Teaching in Secondary Education
- Certificate in Transition to Teaching in Special Education
- Certificate in Texas Educational Leadership
In accordance with CAEP accreditation procedures, the Council provides an opportunity for program constituents and other interested parties to submit written third-party comments regarding a program’s qualifications for accreditation.
Comments should address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered by ACE and should specify the respondent’s relationship with ACE (e.g., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates).
Written third-party comments regarding programs must be received by CAEP no later than six weeks prior to the first day of the scheduled on-site evaluation.
Copies of all correspondence received by CAEP will be sent to the College for comment prior to the evaluation review.
