ACE is happy to announce new programs and new program enhancements now available to prospective and returning students! This fall, students will now have access to a new master’s program and two new certificate programs. In October, students can take advantage of new enhancements to our Ed.D. in Leadership program.
The new programs will begin accepting students immediately, with the first cohorts to sit during the August and October terms, respectively.
New Master’s Program
The M.Ed. in Higher Education prepares students to lead or serve in academic organizations in an ever-changing global, economic, and technological environment. Candidates will learn to investigate what works, what could change, and what’s possible in the areas of academics, student affairs, finance, operations management, and human resources in the higher education space.
Students who enroll in this program will also choose a Focus of Study option from the following options:
• Community College Leadership
• Enrollment Management
• Institutional Research and Planning
• International Education
• Leadership
• Student Development and Affairs

New Certificate Programs
The Certificate in Teaching English Learners is a 16-credit hour program designed to help students develop the knowledge and skills needed to handle the 21st Century challenges and opportunities for English learners in the classroom.
The Certificate in Virtual Instruction is a 22-credit hour program that provides opportunities for students to practice technology integration that encourages educators to then implement rich virtual learning experiences for diverse populations in a variety of educational settings.
The Certificate in Teaching English Learners is approved by the Indiana Department of Education for the addition of the English Learners content area to one’s existing Indiana teaching license. The certificate in Virtual Instruction is approved by the Indiana Department of Education, and outcomes are designed to meet Indiana’s standards for Virtual Instruction. Both programs will seat the first students in the August term.
New Focus of Study Offerings for Ed.D. in Leadership
As part of our continued efforts to ensure our programs meet the variant needs of working educators, we’re excited to launch two new focus of study options to the doctoral program so students can customize their coursework for their unique situations.
Beginning with the October term, prospective students and students in the Ed.D. in Leadership program can take courses in the new focus of study in Health and Wellness, or the focus of study in Second Language Instruction.
The focus of study in Health and Wellness provides students with the information necessary to expand their knowledge in the health and wellness field, and to learn foundational leadership skills in health education. The focus of study in Second Language Instruction provides students with information to work with second language learners in a variety of settings.

If you are a graduate of American College of Education and you are interested in these new offerings, don’t forget about the Continuing Education Grant, which can help reduce the cost of an additional ACE program. Please visit our grants and scholarship page for more information.
