Calvary Hospital employees get reduced tuition toward an ACE program, supporting professional development efforts at one of the nation’s only hospitals dedicated to end-of-life care

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 11, 2026 – American College of Education® (ACE) recently partnered with Calvary Hospital, the only hospital dedicated to palliative and end-of-life care for adult patients in the United States. The agreement gives Calvary’s 1,000 employees access to reduced tuition toward ACE degree and certificate programs.

The organizations share a mission to make career growth accessible to healthcare professionals who spend their careers caring for others. Calvary employees can pursue ACE degrees and certificates in nursing, healthcare, leadership and education – all areas that contribute to strong healthcare operations and growth.

“At ACE, we strongly value the hard work of healthcare professionals, especially amid ongoing staff shortages,” ACE President and CEO Geordie Hyland said. “Partnering with Calvary Hospital is a great opportunity to extend high-quality, career-centered learning to their employees that is not only affordable but doable even with demanding clinical schedules.”

The Hospice News and Homecare Homebase’s 2025 Outlook Survey revealed staffing shortages to be the greatest challenge of the palliative healthcare industry. ACE and Calvary’s collaboration encourages internal career progression as well as a commitment to continuous learning.

“Patient care becomes stronger when education is at the forefront,” Calvary Hospital President Michael J. Fosina, FACHE, added. “Our priority each day is to care for adult patients with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. With ACE, our employees have increased access to education opportunities that support their skillsets and, ultimately, the care we provide to patients and families.”

ACE partners with healthcare organizations across the nation, creating accessible pathways to professional development and advanced degrees for healthcare professionals. Learn more about healthcare partnerships at ACE.
