This year, American College of Education celebrates its 20th anniversary! This is a milestone we wouldn’t have been able to reach without each and every one of you. Our growth and success over the years are directly attributed to the hard work and dedication you’ve shown our college, students and alumni. We hope you take a moment to appreciate all that you’ve been able to accomplish at ACE!
The theme behind our 20th-anniversary celebration is Higher Education Done Differently, a concept that captures how ACE is pushing the boundaries of higher education to better serve the needs of today’s students.

20th Anniversary Civic Projects
It wouldn’t be an ACE Retreat without dedicating time to give back to the community. We have some in-person civic projects planned as part of our time together, as well as an initiative that you can do from home:
Ronald McDonald Pop Tabs
In honor of ACE’s 20th anniversary, we are coming together as a college to embark on a year-long, joint civic project in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona’s Pop Tabs for the House initiative.
All ACE departments will compete until Nov. 21 to see who can collect the most pop tabs in weight. The winning department will be recognized at the 2025 ACE Retreat closing evening ceremony and receive some fabulous prizes!
Don’t have access to cans? No worries – we’re accepting monetary donations toward your department’s total. For every $10 donated, we’ll count one pound of pop tabs toward your tally. Click here to donate.
Not all pop tabs are accepted by Ronald McDonald House. When collecting pop tabs, please keep the following in mind:
- Pop tabs should only be aluminum, such as from soda cans. Aluminum is not magnetic, so you can check your tabs by running a magnet over them.
- Can tops are not accepted. Only pop tabs are recyclable.

How to Submit Your Pop Tabs
There are two different ways to turn in your pop tabs:
- Bring your pop tabs with you to the 2025 ACE Retreat (preferred).
- Request a shipping label by emailing the HR team (see button below). Pop tabs must be shipped by Nov. 21 to be counted.
Upcycled Dog Toys
Let’s show our furry friends some love! We’ll be making dog toys out of old t-shirts. If you have any old t-shirts you’d like to donate to this project, please bring them with you to the retreat.
