QM Teaching Online Certificate Recipients Now Eligible to Receive ACE Credits, Tuition Grants

INDIANAPOLIS – [October 21, 2021]: American College of Education and Quality Matters (QM) are excited to announce an agreement that will provide graduate credits to recipients of QM’s Teaching Online Certificate.

The Teaching Online Certificate (TOC) is a rigorous, 11-week program that includes seven workshops designed to help online instructors hone critical online teaching competencies such as technology skills, course design, assessment, and instructor presence.

“The knowledge and skills gained in QM’s Teaching Online Certificate align well with ACE’s M.Ed. in Educational Technology,” shared Tammy Boyer, Assistant Director of Strategic Partner Development at ACE. “By offering recipients of the TOC graduate credit toward that degree, we are amplifying our mission to provide more students with an accessible pathway to graduate education.”

The collaboration creates a simple process through which TOC recipients can enroll at American College of Education. Once enrolled, recipients can receive three credits toward ACE’s M.Ed. in Educational Technology. Grants are also available for those enrolled in the program.

“A significant investment of time and effort is required to complete QM professional development, especially the TOC,” said Dr. Deb Adair, Executive Director at Quality Matters. “We’re thrilled that ACE is recognizing the hard work and commitment of our community and applaud the work ACE is doing to increase access and affordability of their programs by recognizing the skills and knowledge their adult learners bring with them.”

ACE’s M.Ed. in Educational Technology program prepares educators and other professionals to serve as technology leaders by teaching them to track trends and leverage technology as an effective tool to support learning and meet the needs of school staff, teachers, and students.
