American College of Education is pleased to announce a new certificate program specifically designed for individuals who are ready to take on leadership roles in their field. Our Certificate in Leadership develops personal and professional leadership skills that are applicable in almost any discipline, including education, nursing and other healthcare roles, administration and business.
Students can begin taking courses for the certificate in the July 8, 2019, term.
The Certificate in Leadership will prepare graduate students to contribute to their professional communities as highly effective leaders while also developing their personal leadership journeys. Students will learn to address complex, real-world problems with evidence-based decisions, and then apply these skills immediately in the workplace.
“This program allows for students to broaden their perspectives, integrating creative and critical thinking as it relates to leadership development,” says Crystal Neumann, D.B.A., chair of the Leadership and Administration Department at ACE. “Leadership and learning are absolutely necessary for each other.”
Students in the 18-credit program will study and discuss leadership frameworks, theories, and philosophies while also examining the roles that communication, collaboration, ethics, and cultural responsiveness play in leadership. This program ensures students are ready to effectively manage a team and make well-informed decisions on an organization-wide level. With the Certificate in Leadership, students will be well-quipped to stay competitive in their fields and advance their careers.
