American College of Education is proud to announce a new bachelor’s-level certificate program designed to prepare students for success in the workplace by equipping them with skills like critical thinking, problem solving, communication, planning and organizational skills, and more. The Certificate in Essential Employability Skills helps students cultivate valued skills in the workplace, giving them a solid foundation upon which to build future professional successes.

The program was developed to cover the skills highlighted in the Indiana Workforce Development Employability Skills Benchmarks, all of which were identified as essential and in-demand skills for jobseekers to possess, regardless of experience or occupation. Accordingly, the professional, personal and teamwork skills in this certificate program are highly valued and applicable to any field or career.

Students can complete this 18-credit certificate program in a variety of ways. Those interested in pursuing the certificate’s two built-in micro-credentials – Personal and Professional Skills and Teamwork Skills – can complete the program by taking the courses correlated with those digital badges. Otherwise, students can complete the certificate by choosing any six courses from a list of 13, all of which can be found in the College Catalog

By allowing students to fully customize the Certificate in Essential Employability Skills to suit their needs, American College of Education reaffirms its dedication to guiding students through an education that makes career goals attainable.
