Ross Spencer earned his master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education in 2012. At the moment, he is pursuing his second master's degree in Educational Technology from American College of Education. He is currently in his fifth year as an educator in Arizona. Spencer has taught an array of social studies classes in the 7-12 grade levels, but currently teaches 9th grade World History and Economics. He is originally from northwestern Ohio, and moved to Arizona to pursue teaching, upon completing his bachelor's degree from Ohio Northern University. He has been an ACE Ambassador since October 2012, and enjoys discussing the benefits of ACE's programs with others. He has enjoyed his time with ACE, so much so, that he will also be pursuing a third master's degree in Educational Leadership.
Curriculum & Instruction
Janis Cortez earned master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education. She has served for more than seven years as an educator in the K-5 grade capacity and currently is a Reading Interventionist in a high needs school in Aurora, Illinois. She also is known for being a compassionate, student-centered educator who has impacted the lives of her students in a number of positive ways. Janis is a proponent of social justice and advocates for her students to be provided the interventions necessary to reach or exceed grade level expectations. She intends to become a community advocate and make valuable improvements to the education sector.

My name is Jessi Tymchyshyn. I currently teach 8th grade LA in Lake County, IL. I have been teaching for 8 years now. I love the middle school age group because they are growing and changing all the time! I have 2 degrees from ACE. I have my masters in Curriculum and Instruction and my masters in Educational Leadership. In addition to my masters degrees, I also have obtained my ESL endorsement through ACE. Ace has truly helped me grow as a person and an educator. This year I want to take my last course to obtain my Reading endorsement.
Mary Tune earned her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education. She has served for more than twenty-five years as an educator and received the Who’s Who Among America’s Teacher Award. During her twenty-five years of teaching, she has taught music, science, math, technology, and some robotics to elementary, middle, and high school students. Mary currently serves as Music educator to 5th and 6th graders at two Intermediate schools in Crowley, Texas. She is known for being an adventuresome lady, flying airplanes, traveling to many foreign countries on mission trips, and wanting to go sky diving someday. She has impacted the lives of her students especially in the area of science as she made science fun as students made very large planets of paper machete and hung throughout the school, students made solar ovens and had a hot dog cooking contest, and student’s pets were brought to school during the animal adapt ation six weeks. Mary comes from a family of Educators as her oldest sister received the Teaching Excellence Award for 2002-2003 and the Teacher of the Year Award for 1990-1991. Mary’s mother and grandmother were teachers as well. Mary is enjoying teaching Music to her 5th and 6th graders and intends on teaching and making the learning experience fun for her students.
In February of 2013, I earned my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education (ACE). Since then, I have been an Ambassador for ACE. I am in my third year of teaching mathematics at a high school in southern Delaware. In addition, I am involved in my school's tutoring, credit recovery, and summer school programs. My experience at ACE improved my pedagogy and prepared me for my doctoral program.
Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction
Kristen Rulison earned dual master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from American College of Education. Kristen specializes in elementary education and has been a kindergarten, first grade, third grade, and reading intervention teacher throughout her career. She was named Teacher of the Year for the School District of Palm Beach County in 2011, as well as, received American College of Education's Alumni Achievement Award in 2012. Currently, Kristen is a staff developer and provides professional development for teachers in both reading and writing.
I have been teaching in Orange County Public Schools for eight years. I have been a department chair, faculty club advisor, and served on various committees over the years. I live in Orlando Florida, where I have also worked for Disney World as a youth program facilitator and Boys and Girls Club staff member. I completed a Master of Education degree from ACE in 2012, and currently working on a second.

Viviana Fitzgerald earned a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with and ESL concentration from American College of Education. She has served for more than 8 years as an educator in the 5-8 grade capacity and currently teaches Spanish at a New York City middle school. She is also a very dedicated educator always looking for ways impact the lives of her students. Ms. Fitzgerald prides herself in providing for her students that which she would want for her own children. She is a wife and mother of three teenagers and is very active in the school community.

Samantha Reid has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from Northern Caribbean University and Dual master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from American College of Education. She is the recipient of the American College of Education 2013 Alumni Achievement Award and is also an ambassador for ACE since September 2013. Reid began her teaching career in Gouvieux, France, teaching English as a Second Language and currently teaches French at an all-boys school in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. She has served for more than five years as an educator in the 7-11 grade capacity. In addition to teaching, she coaches her junior and senior French teams where they have won numerous trophies and medals at the National French Vocabulary Competition. Reid is passionate about French and is thrilled to have an opportunity to pass on her love of French to her students. She aspires to become a principal and inte nds to make valuable improvements to the education sector.
Mary Pinson earned dual master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from American College of Education in 2010 and 2011. Mary taught Intensive reading, math, science, social studies, career research, critical thinking skills, Civics and advanced language arts in middle school throughout her nine year teaching career. She earned her National Board Certification in Literacy in 2007 and was named Teacher of the Year for the Hill Gustat Middle School in 2010. Mary has moved into adminstartion since 2011. Additionally, Mary is the ACE professor for the FELE Prep Test and an Internship Supervisor. In April, 2014 Mary will open a new middle school in Marion county as the principal while pursuing her doctorate at American College of Education.
Lisa Francis-Charles earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education. She has been a lecturer at the community college level for the past six years in the disciplines of Entrepreneurship and Bookkeeping. She is very passionate about her profession and desires to inspire other teachers to become agents of change. She hopes to one day become a lecturer at the teachers’ college in her country. Lisa is a spiritual yet spontaneous individual who loves traveling and meeting new people. She sees her role in education as a teacher but more so a lifelong learner.
